Thank you. MIL sent me this pic yesterday. He loved to stick his head out the sunroof. Makes me smile at least.

Hey folks, we are getting a dog and wonder if anyone has any tips (other than not getting a dog) for keeping our hardwood floors as damage free as possible. I grew up with outdoor only dogs so this’ll be our first indoor dog. I’ve read dog boots and/or just keeping the nails trimmed well. Any help would be appreciated.

Dogs aren't easy on hardwoods no question. Hopefully you've got something pretty hard if you're worried about them. No real pointers for keeping the floors in good shape, but I'd probably desensitize it to the doorbell. That super fast bolt then 10 foot slide probably won't be kind to hardwoods. Good luck! What kind are you going with?

As for keeping the nails trimmed, daily walks on concrete keep them nice and short year round, no cutting needed.

Bullmastiff (I know, small horse). Thank you for the advice. I had tons of dogs for the first half of my life but we are indoor dog newbies so I figured this would be the place to ask. :)

Ran into this little guy at Bears vet visit, Thursday.

    33C96FC3-0EBB-4B0E-95D7-3B00D9CEFA33.jpg

As for Bear, he’s doing better, but still not out of the woods. Going up and down stairs for the first time in a couple weeks, but his right rear leg is still very weak. Thursday was x rays and blood draw. X rays showed usual disk loss in spine around thoracic 4-5 and 5-6. As well as the same around 10-11 and 11–12. But that doesn’t seem unusual for a dog who’ll be 15 in two weeks. I guess it could be a pinched nerve. Blood draw is for possible Lyme disease.

    Results on Monday.
