Man Ive wanted that camo recliner for years!!
The XL one, the one with a magazine/remote holder under one arm cushion and ice chest under the other.
    And massage!

The recliners are the two pieces of furniture this dog wont get on and I can have to myself.
Maybe now that hes 6 and well past the chewing phase I'll do it.....except Im actively seeking a wolf pup....yep
Im a glutton for puppy punishment.
    Its time

So Athena has a bad habit of grabbing socks from the laundry hamper and taking them outside when we aren’t watching. It’s happened a few times since the new year and the other day I found a sock outside and brought it in, I called her over and then showed her the sock and she immediately wouldn’t look at me and started cowering, she refused to look at me when I would call her and this is how she looked when I stood next to her and told her to look at me.
I’ve never doubted her intelligence and she may even know how to open doors with door knobs (it was a single instance and she hasn’t replicated it yet) but I wasn’t sure if she knew taking the socks was wrong but this proved it.

She knows but you are effectively punishing her for coming if you call her over.

Happy birthday to my Mishka. She turns 3 today. This once pitiful, underfed, and unkempt puppy turned into a fun-loving, campers best friend, ball fetching/catching extraordinaire.
Time to stop searching through my library of Mishka pics and have a little fun with her.

Tips for easily giving a dog ear drops for an ear infection? Our yorkie has a very slight ear infection but absolutely will not let us give him drops.

My tip...be the Alpha. Hold his little ass down and put the drops in. It's what he needs and it's your job to get it to him.

My advice starts a little before need. As puppies or when they come into your care, you should spend a few minutes every day or so probing paws, ears, etc.. This will help when you (or the vet) need to do the drops thing. Start with short sessions and progress to more complete (ie; check the entire paw thoroughly) Offer up a treat when you're done.

A Yorkie is small enough that you can find a partner to pin the dog while you apply the drops. Once you're done, offer a treat or two. On a side note, clean the ear and make sure it's dry before you put the drops in.
