These aren’t the people we usually go to but I figured I’d pass it along in case any of you decided to take a road trip with the whole family.

We always stay at dog friendly places when we road trip.

I was in the Eastern Sierra and had a couple of very cold nights so decided to motel it. I called and the place said "upto 35 lbs". I went for it. And rather than give me a 1st floor, I had to walk Riley past the front desk...I got the stink eye-he weighs well over 100#. He was quiet and we enjoyed our stay.

Is it "dog" under 15 pounds friendly or real dog friendly??

IDK why the weight thing matters. Seriously. I'd rather not listen to a yapping dog whether it weighed 1 pound or 100 pounds.

Give your pups a hug for me.

Today I lost my special little girl Sadi after 14 years and three weeks of companionship, adventures, kisses, tail wags, hunts and hikes and pure friendship. She wears a tag which reads "Was Meant To Be". I saw an ad in the local paper offering a Beagle/Yellow Lab cross for a new home. I called and left a message. I went home and being all excited I told my other two dogs at the time about the possibility of a new addition to the pack. Yes I do talk to my dogs. Later that evening the fellow called me back and sadly someone else had took her. I sadly announced to my other dogs, "well it's not meant to be". I was genuinely saddened.

Well Sadi knew she didn't belong at the new place and started a fight with one of the other dogs. The next morning I get a call asking if I'm still interested in the dog. Yes!!!!!!!! She was meant to be!

The grief is very deep today but I am so greatful to have known her. It would have been an absolute tragedy if I had never known her.DSC07011.jpg
