Is that the same squirrel that is always messing with him.

 

I'm sure it would hold my 70lb boy. My little one would chew threw it in minutes if you didnt watch him the whole time. I'm looking at metal ones for out camping cause I dont trust the little guy to not chew it.

 

I use a wire tie-out.

 

Thats what I'll likely get. I found one I almost ordered but I need to figure out a length. Somewhere in the 15-30ft range. I'll end up getting 2 so the little one doesnt let my bigger one free if I were to leave him on a rope/fabric lead.

 

Two is a PITA so get the shorter ones. Mine is ~20' and he can get tangled in all sorts of shit.

 

Oh I know. I hook one to the front of the truck and one to the back if theres nothing around to use. My bigger one is good about untangling himself. The little one not so much. I've also got a 30' and a 50' or 75' lead I can use to play with them. Its just a typical flat fabric material so I wont leave then on that unsupervised. With everything locked down I'm not in a rush since they have a fenced yard when we are home. Just chased the little one for 20 minutes in the rain when he managed to get out the front door...

My dogs are so used to chasing greys when its safe all I have to do is say the word s q u i r r e l (had to spell it theyre sitting right here) and they go on instant alert and start scanning.

Or its utter chaos and they run for a window if we're inside.

 

Suki is a squirrel chaser too

Sorry for the slow reply...i'm not sure of the brand, it's a laminate of some sort, it was in the house when we bought it. The main reason we kept it is because it hides dirt and dog hair so well.

I had a wolf dog thatd slip out of his collar and would run back to the truck.
Hated to choke chain him but so be it, he was a houdini with any other collar at the vet.
Hed plant all four and have to be carried in lol

I always made up for it by taking him to the river afterwards.
