Let's See Your Dogs!!

MTB and dogs. The best. My last Doberman was so good at running the trails with me when I rode single track. I passed away almost a year ago now. Miss him so much, he was the best! I always loved going flat out on staighaway and looking over and seeing your pal right next looking back at you. You can see in their eyes how much fun they are having. I will train my pup, Heidi, to freeleash as well.

Not to take away from the enjoyment you had running your dog on the trails, but I think a lot has to do with others on the trail.

I've come down trails with dogs just wandering no owner or one waiting for their pup to catch up. I honestly don't wanna hit someone's dog nor do I want to be injured because I did.

Athena seems to be healing pretty well, friday she’s going to go back to the people we got her from a few years ago to be puppy sat for the weekend.
Hopefully 12/2 she’ll have her splint removed and be put in a soft boot.

I happened across this little guy at work today, he was running down the road with no master in sight.
I called the ACO and held him until he arrived, he’s a very sweet puppy but his master didn’t take care of him, his teeth were in bad shape, he smelled like death, he has either fat or tumors on his legs above his paws, and he had a few injuries both fresh and old that looked like he either got caught in a fence or fought with another dog.
He knew “Sit” and “Truck” though and if he doesn’t get claimed I am tempted to adopt him.

 

Adopt that fella and enjoy the years.

 

Only if you want a best friend for life.
