Let's See Your Dogs!!

Many other chew bones around the house, but these dudes always have to have the same one. Chihuahua/bluetick hound mix on the left (?!) and Swiss cattle dog on the right.

Found him at the dog shelter - no explanation provided.

 

Today was an absolute terrible for me. After 9 great years had to put my only child down. He was literally the best dog I could've ask for. My shadow my best friend. Still in tremendous pain but it was the best thing I could do for him. God I loved this dog.

 

A tough tough day when you have to say goodbye to a loyal friend that is such a big part of your life.

 

Tank.. And boy did he turn into one. He was solid in his good years. I have a 6ft fence in my back yard use to always put him out to do his business look out the front door and hed be sitting on the front porch. Head scratcher. Found out he was hopping the fence. Dog had some springs on him. Never ran away ever. Just would jump the fence when he was doing his thing the sit on the front porch.

Dammit! Such a shitty thing to go through. I'm so sorry for your loss. There are no words. My heart aches for you.

 

It also sucked calling all the fam to tell them. My sister has been sending me pictures of him for the last 15mins straight. Great to see all those old memories of him. Once his hips started going bout a year ago I knew what was what. Last night he had a seizure that last 5 mins or so. First one hes ever had. Then 9am this morning he ran straight to me and put his paw on my lap then fell over and had another seizure didn't last as long but he never regained his step wasnt getting up. I realized at that point I knew it was his time. Rushed him to the vet had a great moment with him. While the vet put him down.

Thank you all for the well wishes. I'll be alright just get to remember him for being such a great friend.

Mishka loves when I work from home. Me, not so much. Within two hours she “lost” 3 balls underneath the dining room hutch (my makeshift office for the week). Not the first time, won’t be the last. I fetched them out once already...she’s gonna have to wait this time.

She also hates when she knows she’s getting her pic taken lol. Sticking her tongue out while she turns away from me.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. He was a handsome guy and lived his best life possible with the love you gave him.

 

My dog hated it too. I think it is because focusing on some (most?) cameras is done via ultrasonic waves. They must hear it and it must be unpleasant. I couldn't even be stealth about it and turn it on early then try a quick picture. He knew it.
