Reminds me of Ted.

 

It was his first birthday last weekend and my kids took him out for dog ice cream.

 

Ted looks more like Riley did. He’s a handsome pup fore sure! Happy Birthday Ted!



This is Riley.

 

that is a classic, Top Secret, tiime tested GSD guarding/scouting position. He is actually hard at work right there. Rest assured. The perimeter is secure...

In my house, this was always the result of a search after things got suspiciously quiet for a while

I always felt like they were saying "Can We Help You?" when I came around the corner

 

Nap time once again! This is how you stuff a 75 lb dog into a chair!

 

Two Healers?.....double trouble!!

 

Almost. The one on the bottom is indeed a Blue Heeler but the "Boss" is an Australian Shepherd. Close enough for Government work though. The blue is my second consecutive Heeler. The first was a Red, and what an amazing dog he was. Gentle, loyal, very smart, and glued to my side from Day 1 till he died at 14. The Blue is an amazing dog in his own right, but different. He's gentle and smart, but very independent. He chooses when he wants to be around you and when he wants to be alone. The shepherd is very much the Alpha. She runs him all around, jumps on him, and he pretty much just takes it. She's a handful, but she's adorable so she gets away with it.

Tessa had a busy couple of hours after work. About a half and hour playing in the neighbors back yard with thier dog. Then a 1.25 mile after dinner walk. Not even bed time and she's crashed hard.

 

My daughter's healer is at her side every second, it was the first time seeing this breed and the behavior. An awesome breed.

It's a sad he cannot be approached.

 

Tell me about it! It would be such a joy to be able to share him with others. Life would be a lot more interesting for him (and a lot simpler for me)

 

Favorite toy. For about 10 minutes.

 

I missed why he can’t be approached. Biter? Service Dog?

 

Another bad owner for nails, just like me !!! Lucky we just found a great place to do them.
