Yeh tried many probiotics and dental washes, teeth cleaning erc. It's definitely stomach since the Pepcid works so well. The human food diet would be my final step and it's way out of my budget. I've researched the at home tests for allergies and see mostly bad reviews but I'm wondering if the vet uses the same one available OTC.

What breed is your little dog? I have a morkie. She won't eat anything but meat. Sometimes she will eat some cheese or cheerios.

She's a terrier mix... Inherited her from my mom who recently passed in July. She had no idea either... 100% cuddle bug though

Thank you... It's still rough... BUT couldn't imagine "rehoming" this little gal with anyone or anywhere else...

Check out "the honest kitchen". Human grade clusters at a reasonable price that have been a game changer for my last 2 dogs. For a pet food to be deemed safe there are roughly 4 tests. The Honest Kitchen does 24 on every batch to ensure quality. I dontnwork for them and have no stake in their success. Proof is in the pudding.

Dog Food Advisor gives them all fives. Lots of positives in their reviews as well. However, gotta say a 10 pound box is between $80 and $117 (makes ~40 pounds of food). That's pretty expensive--good to know you can eat it if times get lean :D :D :D

    Still, worth a look.

we tried honest kitchen but our pup didnt like the one we got. we've tried Fresh Pet, Just Food For Dogs, and now NomNom. She get's bored and needs variety.
we mix fresh meat/frozen veggie with NomNom and a kibble mix (Orijen + Royal Canin).
Fresh meat is either boiled chicken or boiled ground beef.
frozen veggies is a mix of broccoli soinach and carrots.
eggs are a plus, softboiled, hardboiled or scrambled all are loved

I used the boxed stuff with my last dog towards the end because it was easier to swallow for him. I use the clusters and it retails between $80-95 for 20lbs.
It seems like you have found what works for your pup, and your pup has trained you well.:rofl:

I think so! :) my first dog and so she's got the upper hand on me. I know some people say that you just leave the food out for 15 min and if she doesn't eat it, take it away. keep doing that and eventually when they get hungry enough, they will eat what you put out.

How do you mix the clusters? The boxes imply it weighs 10 lbs but makes the equivalent of 40 pounds of kibble. But the cluster just says it offers the same convenience as kibble which I take to mean I feed like kibble?

Feed exactly like kibble. The whole "cluster" thing is a marketing thing. They are bigger and more brittle than the typical kibble. Think dehydrated vs baked. They literally take the powder that they sell in the box and make it into a nugget and that's what is sold in the bags. I still add hot liquid to it (sometimes water, sometimes bone broth) but it is not necessary.

Heading to the city tomorrow at 5am to drop this guy off for TPLO surgery. He tore his ACL chasing a rabbit in the yard. Slipped on the wet grass while trying to turn at a million miles an hour.

We're relieved he's finally going in for surgery but nervous about the long path to rehabilitation.

Second major surgery for him this year. Poor guy had cataracts and gluacoma and had double eye surgery to replace his lenses in February as well as being diagnosed with diabetes in January.
