Took the doggos for a walk today. They enjoyed the river for sure...

 

Work trips, Roy doesn't come along. Adventure trips he is always with me. Today I left for a work trip, but saw an opportunity for a quick snowboard trip during my trip. He was so confused watching me pack up the snow gear, and not bring him with.

 

Very kind responses. I’m lucky we still have Artie, he’s a great dog, more my wife’s (but he listens to me better )

Here’s my little buddy! He has a huge personality and is full of energy. Lol

 

My 13 year old German Shepherd "Santino" is starting to go downhill slowly. Ordered him diapers from Amazon today, last night he peed on 2 carpets that had just been cleaned. He's starting to crap on the patio pavers which he never did. Today I had to brace his feet because his legs were sliding out under him when he was eating dinner. He's still a beautiful dog and is a real trooper. We took our daily
afternoon ride in the Tacoma, I have to ramp him up and down now into the bed of the truck. We're heading out shortly to Borrego Springs where the weather is showing mid 90's. Following that my spouse and I will have to continue the serious conversations we already started about short and long term plans for my big buddy.

 

Idk what to say. Tino has enjoyed a good life and the hard part is knowing what to do. I do not envy your discussion but wish you the best.

 

I have 2 Lab brothers that are 14 and have their issues, one has heartwoms that we have under control the other has limes disease. I brought in a 1yr old female lab about 1.5yrs ago. Doing so has really made them want to get moving. I am a firm believer that 2 is always better for their wellbeing when you're not around. This was a few weeks ago.

It can be pretty devastating. Riley was raised in the office and used to people taking him to play and or go for walks. If he wasn't at work, he was with me. We did the camping thing and to see him deteriorate as he did was hard. He was incredibly active, loved rides. It's been hard. But one day, I took a chance and went to see Kimo and here I am.
