Let's See Your Dogs!!

most of you are either good or really good with a camera or phone. im not blessed with the picture taking gene.

doesnt mean i dont take a lot of them. it just means they suck in quality & have to have a personal meaning. lol

he usually is pretty photo friendly, but he wasnt in the mood today, was excited about the special grub.

today is my only sons birthday. my little man is 2. all of our dogs are ridiculously spoiled when it comes to their food/diet/care... but this morning was extra special for lil man.

so here are a couple fuzzy phone grabs of that. bd brekky is his usual kibble mix(taste of the wild buffalo & venison with purina 1 lamb & brown rice) then he got chicken bits & birthday fiesta cheese sprinkles! its a birthday! there has to be sprinkles!

 

Remi is not quite as excited as I am watching the nuggets game. lol

what do you do for the fireworks?

 

Nothing my Dog could care less about Fireworks.
But a lot of Dogs have a problem with fireworks.
It was just a PSA so your vet has time to react to your dog’s needs

 

We do CBD treats, and they usually work. They're great for the groomer (she hates people she doesn't know and trust).

When she's really wound over the moon we do a half a child's Benadryl and that chills her right out.

 

You might talk to your vet. The easy answer is something like Benadryl or Trazadone that will help calm a dog. Sometimes these compression vests help. Or you could go for a ride in the car.

Kimo gets a lot curios so, we go outside and he's more or less fine. Same with Riley.

as mentioned above... all of our dogs hate thunder & fireworks. they do however, know the difference between that gunfire. My dogs stay near the house when we shoot out behind the shop & they also hang close during hunting season.

as to "soothing" the beasts? We do use Peanut Butter Pumpkin Dope Bones from "American Green". They love them & its a safe/certified treat. works great on a vet trip, car trip or high person traffic at our house.

turns out they are not making them now at that outfit. BUMMER!! They still have the oil, but not treats. my dogs & her cats will be soooo bummed! will look for a pet safe alternative & let you guys know.
