Let's See Your Dogs!!

Akita's are such bad ass dogs. Is Okami your 1st Akita? How do you like the breed? Do they eat a lot and drop big turds?
When I go to a dog show I always make sure to watch the Akita's.

 

before and after the beauty parlor. Not correct for a Bichon but it works in the snow.
. I know it is not the correct cut for a bichon but it
works ok for running around outside in the snow.

 

My family has had 2 other Akitas growing up but he is the first iv had on my own. I love the breed and had been following the rescue for a while for the right one to pop up. They are a breed that can get a bad wrap. If they are not brought up correctly, they could have aggression issues toward other dogs or people. Luckily I found this guy at a young 6 months old. They are usually best to be the only dog in the household but some are OK with a dog of the opposite sex. They are great watch dogs and can be very protective around the house. But overall they are very well behaved and like to lay around a lot. He eats 2 cups of dry food 2x a day and yeah his turds can be pretty big but he learned to use the dog flap and go outside almost immediately lol they can be trained easily if you get them young as they are very smart.

Tessa had her "no puppies" surgery yesterday. Tough afternoon trying to comfortable yesterday. Seems much better today and embraced her new "pillow".

Nice! Which 14er did you guys summit? Remi has summited Pikes Peak twice with me (Barr trail and the western route).

That was Grays. Last time I was there I did the Barr trail (without the dogs) and then ran down the incline. It’s amazing how people have zero etiquette on the incline. Most people have zero business being there with how unprepared they are.
I stopped and talked to a group of girls on my way down from Quandary who were on their way up way too late in the afternoon. One of them was wearing van slip ons with no socks at like 13,000ft.

 

She finally turned 2 so birthday cookie and a new toy she took off the shelf so kinda had to buy it haha

 

Nice, I've never done Grays. LOL, yah, we've seen quite a few of those types out on the trails. Thank you for your service.
