bone stock save for the block lift that came on it with the open country m/t.
ok, so I have a black lab that I want to teach to retrieve a "bumper" the problem being is that he is 1) skiddish towards it 2) when I try to get him interested in it, he could care less. I got him over the skiddish part of it, sort of, with giving him an occassional treat, and rubbing the treat on it so he associates the bumper with a treat, therefore, hopefully he will retrieve it, but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas? thanks.

Maybe try a different kind of bumper. Mine loves it and water, there was no training needed. Theres other kind of floaty toys try one of those then try a bumper again. Find a game he loves then incorperate the bumper in there. Or try the hunting section, if anyone has any hunting dogs they might have pointers for bumper retrieving.

yeah so that plastic trey in the bottom...my dog devoured that...there was only like a 2'x1' square left of it...he shit plastic for the next two days. I think he has a little separation anxiety sometimes.

mines the opposite, he was crate trained from day one when i got him, then i moved and my ex had him for 4 months, and he came back with all these issues, that being one of them, so now im having to retrain which is a lill difficult when the dog is 70+ lbs and im only 120...its a little bit harder now. Im almost debating on sending him to a trainer. He used to be a great dog til my ex had him.

That's rough... My pup weighs about 60lbs now and he's difficult enough to train. GL with that! :)
