Well, we walked in the door and the gal behind the counter asked if he could have some treats. "sure but make him do something" so she said "speak" and was kind of surprised when the lips moved but nothing came out  Had to explain his "speak" is silent. Then I let the leash go and he wandered over and got in the tub. The hose and the blow dryer are his two favorite toys at Pet Food Express. Once I finished washing him, one of the other gals asked about more treats.

So as far as bath time goes, it's just another day at the tub for him  Play in the water and eat--what more could a dog want?

They have a do it yourself dog wash? That's what I need around here... then I don't have to clog my tub with dog hair

Ha ha! And it's not over yet. Been tossing his ball around the house--did I mention he's crazy for that thing?

Yup. There's a place called Pet Food Express that has a mini-carwash for dogs. Soap, air and water--just like the car wash. And every year they have a benefit for the local K9 units. All the money goes toward protective gear and stuff they need to do the job.

    That's a really good idea.

    that works

Don't think there's anything like that around here, but it's a great idea.

It's $15 a wash--less if you buy 4 tokens but the way I look at it; no towels to worry about. They provide soap, water and air to clean the dog and they clean up after you. Definitely makes it worthwhile

Okay. I don't currently have my own dog. I wish I did. But I'm not selfish enough to expect the type of dog I want to live in my tiny ass apartment.

I ALMOST adopted this guy, but his pure size (Nearly 80 lbs) made it very clear my place was too small. We hung out for a weekend and then I regretfully returned him to his owner (owner had two small kids who were allergic to him, I pray he was able to find him a good home)
His name is Copper. All-kidney colored German Shorthair

And then this dog is my favorite in the entire world. He belongs to a close friend of mine, but I get to take him hunting any time I want. His name is Gauge. German Shorthaired Pointer

Unfortunately, my buddy took a job in Alaska. So, Gauge will get to have all the fun he could ever imagine living in the vast expanses up there. But I won't get to see him much any more. :(

I will soon hopefully be moving to a larger place. I will update when I have my own pup.

Here's one more picture of him. Doing what he would do every single second of his life if he could.

I'm not worried about the towels - use an absorber (I have one for the dogs and one the vehicles). But not having to clean up the mess, priceless :D
