Thanks. This is new for me (tripod dog). I had 2 bigger dogs (with 4 legs each lol) before I moved, Now im on my own and have wanted a dog so bad and my wonderful GF that works at the vet clinic just had to show and Harley and I just fell in love with her. Shes so cuddly and so adorable. She has heartworms sadly right now, but the clinic is covering the $200 visits for me and my GF is signing as the foster parent for her. I have the best GF and I am insanely superly stoked!!!

my tripod is new to me too, had him for a week and two days now. he also is a super sweet dog, hes learning how to get around on hardwood floors with 3 legs, its hard enough with 4.

i hope she makes it through the heartworms ok, thats a nasty mess.

Ive been reading and people have suggested putting out rugs and things on the non capreted areas to make life easier for them. Harley is fresh out of surgery, I have to take her back to get the stitches removed still so she will be learning on mostly carpet.

Shes a tough pup from everything I have been told. Everyone at the shelter (including my GF) has fallin in love with her. Shes so adorable so I have faith she will pull thru it. Shes in good hands both at home and the vet.

I think missing the back leg is easier for a dog. My uncles pug is missing a front leg and he struggles to get around. so much more weight over that front leg.

We picked up these two guys on Nov. 6th. They were born on 9-11-2011 and they are brothers. We named the big guy Zeus (mine) and the smaller brother Thor (hers). Very quick learners! They turned 11 weeks old yesterday. Zeus is already over 25 lbs and Thor is about 20 lbs. They are purebred german bloodline "blockheads" and will both be over 100 lbs each when fully grown.

Let's see anyone come near my Taco with these two in the back seat.

is that snake still around? my one boxer tears up everything in site. We have to buy quality (read expensive) toys online to keep them from getting destroyed in the first 15 minutes.

There's a tripod that comes to Riley's play dates once and a while. You'd never know the dog had three legs. He's pretty quick!

Here's my dogs.. the black one lost his leg when a truck hit him. Sometimes you almost forget he only has one front leg.

If you're feeding your dog chicken jerky, you might want to look at this FDA Notice concerning the ongoing issues with these products.

Yes it is. They are pretty rough on the toys but haven't torn any apart yet. :D These are pretty good quality. We're still getting them housebroken but accidents are few and far now.
