There is a cattle dog at my local humane society. I have been told that they are a handfull because they are herding dogs. Any comment? Id really like to get him if he would be ok on about a 2 mile walk a day.

I don't know about his dog, but I had a cattle dog for a while. Mine was SUPER territorial. Had to give him to the in laws, cause they live on 5 acres. I still get to see her. She didn't do well being fenced in. she got a daily walk, but it was never enough. When she was in the house or fenced in, she would literally pace around and never just lay around.
She LOVES her new home, and has free reign of her property. and like I said, i still get to see her!

Yeah an old neighbor had a border collie with nothing to do and it ran in circles under their trampoline for years. I shit you not, the last time i went by there there was a mound of dirt all the way around the trampoline from where the dirt was kicked out. The mound was about a foot and a half high. It was amazing. It had run in circles so many times it litterally carved a giant circle in the dirt.

This is my dog, Penny, a rescue dog who was on death row in LA. We've had her for 6 months, and she's a perfect fit for two old folks.

Took Riley out the ponds for a little R&R today. The ponds are available to members of the local retriever club for the purpose of field training dogs.

Riley's the jumper. Bono's older and he just waits until it comes a little closer before going after it.

Sometimes I think he walks on water.

    One last one.
