Just got back from the vet for a wellness check with Cooper. Had him 2 days now. They said he does look a little rough, bit of a dry coat but understandable since he came from a rescue shelter. Should change with better diet. He's got a little pot belly and I did tell him he pooped 6 times yesterday, could mean possible worms, so they gave him another dewormer even though the shelter stated he had one a couple weeks ago.

He's doing very well at home, sleeps all night, tons of energy and playful. Very smart pup! Glad to have him :D

nope. It was a cool day, but for some reason, Gunner, who hated water since we have gotten him, has now decided to randomly jump in the pool! :)

Next time he poops look at it and see if it has what looks like little white rice in it. That will reveal one kind of worm. If he does have the little white rice then hopefully you'll have a baggie with you and you can pick it up with a paper towell and put the stool sample in the bag. Some worms of course you can never see. Did the vet check him for heartworm as well? Sounds like you got you one fine little boy, "Daddy," and he's counting on you to keep him well. (You probably knew all this but thought I would send it anyway) My rescue from Alabama took almost 8 weeks to get rid of all the parasites in him.

This is probably a dumb question but do dogs get cold out in the snow? Like shiver kind cold?

It was a beach yesterday, today we got like 16 inches of snow.

Ya depends on the breed. I now some dogs dont do well in the snow, and others you cant get out of the snow. My neighbor growing up always had Samoyeds and the would be out as much as possible in the snow and not at all in the summer.
