All of my dogs have been rescues except our Husky. No problems with the rescues, just getting old *knock on wood* And the puppy is doing very well, super smart.

First one is our Jessie named after Jessi Colter. She was an Aussie mix. Lost her to a tumor January 20th of this year- 15 years old.

Second is our Waylon named after Waylon Jennings. He's some mix of English Setter/Aussie/Blue heeler. He's 15 and we're probably going to have to say goodbye to him this year. His back legs are almost completely shot.

And this is our little boy Cooper named after Alice Cooper. He's a wild stray off of the Red Lake reservation. There's no telling what he is with all the cross breeding up there. But, he's only 12 weeks old and already 30lbs so I'm thinking he might be a big one.

Thank you. You start looking back and realize how much they've been through with you in the last 15 years. Really hits you how much of a family member they become.

I don't know what's tougher- saying goodbye or knowing when to open a door for the next one. We swore we weren't going to get another until Waylon went but this little fellar really needed a home.

He's smart as hell. 2 days and he has a pretty good take on sit, going out to potty and lay off the cats. Not sure if he's going to be wide or tall but he's definitely gonna be big like you say.

I think so too. You should see him wag his tail. I'm pretty sure he's part helicopter. His ass actually starts sliding sideways and hopping up and down.

    That's really awesome.

I have a double cab so my situation is a little different than yours but my wife made a HUGE dog bed when I had my Avalanche. It took up the whole back seat area of my Avalanche so it fits really nice in the taco. I fold the back seats down and lay the bed in there for them.

It seems like the headliner and sunvisors are hair magnets. There is nothing I can do to keep them clean if the windows are down and the hair is flying.

Here's Carman; a mix, and Hurley; a Bull Mastiff, he was 2 months old at the time.
