My brother had it done on his GS mix. He used a vet that a friend recommended for the very same thing with great results. However my bro's dog did not do so well, I think he got infected and the vet had all kinds of trouble. That being said I think it was more the dog than the vet. "Buck" is kind of a nutty dog and pretty much psycho. I hear it's a pretty routine operation. Good luck!

Nice looking Dog! The last base I was stationed at used those for security. They were all business, I would not want to be on the wrong end of those guys. Really cool dogs though.

Yeah, they said it was pretty routin but also said that it is very common for the dogs to tear the other acl after one has been replaced. just wondering if anyone else has had both acl's replaced?

He's pretty awesome for the most part very energetic and playful but he can be a handful at times when he likes to be stubborn and get into anything and everything lol

My brother's did infact tear his other ACL, after the first one though they just left it. But if that dog makes it to Christmas this year he'll be 17! He's still doin alright, everynight he walks to my parents house up the street and barks till my mom gives him treats then he walks back.
