My experience with invisible fences is limited but I do know that not all dogs will be successful with it. Why? Because some dogs learn that once they're past the fence, they're free-so they take the shock and away they go

    Good luck!

Thanks man. It's coming up on four years since I had to help him pass. Still miss him so.

We probably will when the new home is complete...just in time for a puppy to tear up all the new furnishings. :D

and I have no problem with a rescue pup. This will probably be part of our search.

You know there is nothing wrong with rescuing an older dog to begin with and moving to the puppy next. That way the old dog can teach the puppy a few manners. Plus if your heart is big enough for a rescue you can rescue by breed. Google rescue and list the type of dog your looking for. I have six at home. Five rescues. Two are AKC material one is an AKC and three others are mutts. I love all of them and each of them has their own personality. I"m the pack leader so I have to teach them how to be acceptable and the manners they should show. The older dogs have always taken the news in the house under there wing and taught them manners in certain ways...Wouldn't take a million dollars for any of them...

He did have a great life... lots of camping, hiking and lounging on couches.

He truly was the most gentle spirited animal I've ever known. Loved everything. One of the better Wylie stories is when there was a mouse in the house and our two cats were chasing it. It ran and hide under Wylie's belly (he was laying down like in pic #1). Eventually he sat up enough to examine what the hell it was that ran under him. He saw it was a scared mouse. What did he do? He began to lick it as if he was nurturing it.

Good luck Jasmine. Bosco is a gorgeous dog. I'm sorry you need to go through this :(

Also, you should try calling the Norcal GSD rescue peeps. They might be able to arrange to bring him here if there's a foster available.

Just curious did anyone elses dog start out licking/cleaning themselves quietly and now makes more noise doing it?

And now Harley (my dog) always makes noise licking her snout. From the nose to the side of her upper jaw.... Just curious if something could be up or what I should look for if anything... Just started a lil bit ago but she never did that before... Atleast not noisy...

If any of that makes sense....

Heres the lady/kid of my single life right now

My GF at the time I got the dog (now my wife) is responsible for the bed thing. I travelled all over the world for months at a time and she would keep her at her house and let her in the bed. I come back after a few trips and she just sits there and stares at me until I ask her up...She's a great dog. Super obedient and Very protective.
