You'd be hard pressed to find a boxer that isn't happy 24/7. We have 2 of them and they are always happy too.

It's been 14 years since my last Mal, but I still love the breed. Boneheads till their third year, then grow up overnight.

People tend to try pet him without even asking. He doesn't like that and I don't like that. Just to be on the safe side. We don't want anybody getting bitten just by him getting blinsided with people he doesnt know.

No sir. Just a regular house pet. Though we may start him with protection training.

Beautiful. Mine just turned 7 yrs old. Great dogs.

My Rottie was protection trained. Unless you need that, it really isnt worth the money (3k!) Just good "push button" obedience training (so that he doesnt jump up on kids).

Good luck to you and Bruno

I understand where you're coming from but it would be better to work on that behavior so he doesn't bite someone. Because as you probably know, most people won't read the collar :)

If you do plan any sort of protection training, it will also be absolutely mandatory he doesn't bite when strangers touch him during "normal" activity. My advice for most people would be to not protection train your dog beyond aggressively barking on command.

    He's a handsome Mali.

We took our boxers to the Farmers market last weekend. There are lots of people and kids that come right up to them. One kid stuck their face right in our boxers face. Any other dog and i might be worried, with Elliott they just got a face full of tongue.
