Thanks, I guarantee you would not regret getting one. More personality than the last couple dogs i've had combined.

Like others have posted lately antlers can defintely be the answer for your power chewers. Riggs has always loved gnawing on toys; he even blows thru the black kongs in about 5 hours. Antler last about 2 days so now I'm at a loss to what to give him next that would hold up for any length of time....a slab of granite?

This is a great rescue farm and she tugged at my heart strings since my Dakota had seizures. She will probably live out her life at the farm, but will get some extras due to me. My house isn't ready for another dog yet-still a lot of healing going on.

my dog jumped out of the bed of my pickup today when i was doing ~10mph. bit her tongue blood filled mouth, scared the shit out of me, she was welping, hurt her leg, i swore she broke it, 20 min later she was chasing another dog around like nuthing happened.
i took her to the vet tho right away, just in case. they reemed me.

she has some road rash, i feel like shit over the whole thing cause it was my idea and the gf didnt want to try it.

not sure if our dog saw a cat, recognized the place we were heading, or heard us calling her name to get her back up towards the backwindow and didnt know the direction it was coming from.

That is so lucky that your dog's ok. Scary. I've seen it go horribly wrong even at slow speeds. I'm so glad it worked out ok.

The dogs in the bed are secure if they're cross-tied. Not sure how a dog back there, even tied like that, would fare in an accident ... but I also let my dog ride loose on the access cab backseat w/ no safety harness or crate...

when teaching a dog to ride in the back, hold the leash through the back window.

until comfortable, tie a leash short, find a way to secure them away from the sides, or keep them in doors.

don't go to the vet right away.

I'll probably always keep her in my cab, this was just because I had both the dogs. I made a platform in my cab for her even, I think next time they will just have to snuggle with each other when going to the park!

she is about 9 months old now.. i nearly had a heart attack. my parents dog took care of her on the way to the vet. our dog actually was trying to play while waiting for the vet with another dog.

trying not to beat myself up.

Please keep your dogs in the cab. The bed is hot, full of fumes, unsecure and just not a safe place for a dog. I know a lot of guys think this looks "kewl" but it isn't.

Our dogs depend on us to be smarter than them. Take the alpha dog, pack leader roll and protect your pack.

might as well call it her corner. I tell her NO cuz she keeps trying to eat my wall already (despite the 10 different chew toys) and she goes and lies down there lol. wonder how fond of it she'll be when I run the dishwasher next to her...
