Been waiting to post in here. Here is my new one, our last one died on Sept. 1 last year. So dad said that dogs come to us so our next one had to be a stray. I though about going to the shelter and getting one, but then two weeks ago this guy followed a worker to the college library which my mom is the Director. Dad still did not want one but could not say no so we sent him to the vet to get checked up. We went on vac last week so we just got him today. Very friendly, learns fast, and obedient. He has energy but is generally calm. He had mange but it was the curable kind. He has to go back in 10 days for the rest of his shots. He is a mutt, not sure on the kind (forgot to ask). To me he looks like he has a face of a husky and the color of a German Shepard.

Here is my crazy mutt Mia. She showed up at our door step all jacked up as a puppy. A couple of visits to the vet fixed her up, now she is an awesome dog. Protective, but very mild mannered. Both the mutt and the truck need a bath.

    Saturday morning 5 years ago:
Neighbor lady knocks on door: "Two stray dogs just showed up in my front yard, can you keep them 'til Monday? I will take them to the pound."
    Wife: "Yes!"
Me: "No! We'll be stuck with them."
Neighbor and wife work me over for a while, I agree that we will keep them for the weekend. But that's it! Monday to the pound!
    Sunday:
Wife comes home from Pet store with new collars. We give them names. Damn I knew this was gonna happen!!
    Monday:
Neighbor offers to take them to the pound. I say, "No way!"

IT WAS A CONSPIRACY - THEY GANGED UP ON ME!

That cat is not fat. THIS cat, this cat is fat:

And here is a new picture of Duncan--he looks sooooo good now. He's also working on chunky--up to 63 pounds. I had to cut down his food a little! Although if any dog deserves to be fat, it would be him! :D

Not me--Tri-State Collie Rescue and many shelter folks in Alabama who contacted TSCR to save him and fly him to Kentucky and then to Ohio--they are the real miracle workers! I just filled out the application the other day to be a foster mom for them though if they need me. :) I found out last month that he was originally going to be euthanized if TSCR hadn't taken him in since he was in such bad shape.

Here is the before when he first got into rescue:

Here he is when I first brought him home:

The most recent pic I have is the one from the above post--full body shots of him are hard to get since he never stops moving unless he's asleep on the couch! LOL!

    Awwwww. Thank you!

Any old excuse to show off my beautiful boys, so I went out an took some photos just now since when I went looking for the most recent picture of all of him, it was from March. Here they are--both of my babies--it's harder to tell them apart now! :D

Connar is laying down and Duncan is standing:

Charli, both your boys look great. Good job :D Duncan is gorgeous (doubly so after what the poor thing looked like in your before picture)
