those with Boxers, should I get one? I was leaning towards a Chocolate Lab but got re-introduced to a Boxer at work yesterday and fell in love with it. How's their temperament and such? I've read things online about them already but want first hand experience. Thanks guys and girls!

NOOOOO get the chocolate lab!!!!

Sorry, don't know much about boxers. Temperament is ok. The ones I know of are hyperactive.

These 2 are best friends. The boxer was excited to get a live chew toy with the Boston.
Boxer is so happy, family friendly, and protective. No offense to lab owners,I just don't care for one.

There are more lost lab signs and in papers around here. We try to spend a lot of time with our pups. The boxer can be a dork,so can the Boston.
As far as hyper, she's fine in the house. She also has a big yard to run and have fun. She likes her water tub also.

i'm moving in a couple weeks and the house has a good size yard so i'm not worried about it not getting enough exercise.
how are they when they're pups and you go to work all day? that's my main concern

SO my 2 year old German Shepherd, Phoenix, can now open doors. We have handles in our home not knobs, so she slides her nose between the handle and the door and in one motion pops the door open then slides her nose between the open door and the door jamb and then shes out.

Smart dog! We started training that it not ok unless told to do so. which seems to be working better than telling her no all the time.

I would upload a video, but i cant upload a .mov

If you're gonna be gone all day, you should look at an older - yr old dog vs young pup. Unless you'll have someone to let him out during the day.

We use dog crates. We have them in all sizes. She either stays in or out now depending on weather. Went thru the normal training on what she can chew on what not to. She has a garbage can full of toys. She goes and picks out what she wants. Boxer and Boston's aren't working dogs,so its easy to wear them out and they take long naps after :)

Sophie as a 13 month Belgian Tervuren. Great dog who want's to live in my Tacoma. She is almost obedience trained and we are leaving at the end of June for two months of hiking and fishing at Lake Tahoe.
