ok question/thoughts. ok we have a grayhound thats bout 13 or 14 we think. Well the past maybe year at the most. she has ben getting really bad anxiety, and passes back and forth in the house some. pants really bad. is been getting worse and worse, and she is on meds for it but they don’t seam to be working very well, and they can’t put her on any more she is on the max she can be on. Sadly we have been thinking about putting her down, because it’s becoming kinda of PITA. she has chewed put a set of blinds on the back door and everything. some times wee wil be going in and out some and she just follows mom or dad and wont just stay out or stay in. she gets really had if we are here and have to put her in the crate for what ever reason. barks wines (almost like a high pitch scream/welp)

also her eyes are very very cloudy and from what i know that means she maybe going blind?

    Anxiety? going blind? hmmm...

can you handle putting her down or can you take on the commitment to make her life as enjoyable as possible? Exercise in one thing, but maybe give her something a bit more relaxing...

I just met this father and son.

    Some great looking new pups!

Anxiety can be the result of many things. Judging by the meds, I'm guessing your vet has done a thorough exam and found nothing of concern. As someone mentioned, could be a need for exercise although at that age, I'm not sure it's at the heart of the problem. Her problems could also be age related and the fact she's going blind.

The decision to put a pet to sleep is so difficult but often times, when the quality of life is diminished, it's the best thing for your pet. I don't envy that decision at all.

:annoyed: trying to read your writing is :frusty:

Poor pup. When she goes out, does someone stay with her? or when inside, stay close to her, or at least talk to her? Sounds like she's not taking going blind very well (not that I can blame her) Panting is from fear/anxiety/pain.

Sounds like it's time for a serious conversation with the vet (or find a new vet). Don't envy the decision if/when it's made :( Good luck.

I may have posted these before, but I dont remember.
I was working in the shop, and they wanted to go for a ride.
A couple days later, I obliged.
After an unsuccessful morning of dove hunting, they got to go swimming.
