from our crater lake trip early sept. turns out crater lake isn't very dog friendly on paths/trails. :(

As a dog owner, you'll find out that you're not welcome at many state or national parks-unless all you want to do is sit in the parking lot.

The backpack served as a poor excuse and we still took the majority of the paths, but I needless to say was very disappointed

I am generally disappointed every time I go anywhere to hike. The county I live in is generally "allowed unless specifically forbidden" which means no sign, allowed. Almost everywhere else is forbidden unless specifically allowed.

In VA it is technically illegal for any dogs to swim in public waters.... e.g. the lake.

Of all the states I have lived in (only 5 so far), VA is the absolute worst about dog restrictions.

But I have never lived in Commifornia.... so I don't know.

For the most part, unless you have land, your dog will live on a leash when out in public. Every place that's been designated or enjoyed as an off-leash area is under attack by people who feel entitled to that space.

Hawaii isnt much better. No dogs on beaches or at parks. I always have a dog or two with me but I generally dont get bothered. A lot of other understandable people out there, but we are losing a lot of those secluded beaches to developments.

Thank you, my lab is on the other side of that pile barking at her because he can't jump up onto the big stacks of wood.

This is how I woke up this morning, to my boxer using a pillow like my wife and I and her lower body under the covers. She's not spoiled or anything haha. :D

My first little angel (Boxer) was like that. Got her in Tupelo Ms. and when I went to Germany she went with me and was trained there. She was spoiled and I loved her to no end.
