Sorry about your loss. But good for you for saving a dog in need. Rescues make the best pets, I don't think I would ever own anything else.

Neat. How difficult is it to make one of those?

It wasn't bad. I watched a video on Youtube, and it took about 15 mins. The most time consuming part was getting it started, but once you do that, and get the weave down, it goes quick.

Sorry for your loss. We're going through a similar situation with our 13 year old Siberian Husky Kyuss. Cancer fucking sucks. Pup looks good, glad you were able to keep her from being put down.

I consider my dog to be a rescue dog...

I got him from a great breeder. I think any dog in a good home is a rescue dog. They could be in any shit hole getting treated poorly. Even straight from a breeder. I know my dog is in a good home and gets treated well, loved and taken care of. I like to think I saved him from another person who may not be treating him this way. I dunno that's how I see it. I'd like to get Beau a sister. I would absolutely check out local shelters and dog classifieds/free dog ads before finding a breeder. Pretty much guaranteed the bred dogs will get a home. I hate to see dogs stuck at the humane society, though they are safe there.

This is Zoe, the kook, ... a killer born, dressed in her war paint (raccoon blood). This nut is on the job 24/7 ha ha. But, seeing as how I work 24 on and 48 off, she's good to have around for the wife and kiddos when I'm not there. She's the first line of defense and my wife has been shooting all her life, so I sleep pretty comfortable at the station.

That's pretty cool. Mine knows when there is a bunny outside. She can smell them. But when we let her out she just freezes staring at it. Once the bunny moves she goes after it. Shes never killed or hurt a thing in her life.

Funny thing is, rabbits are the only thing she won't bother. She mostly ignores them, and every so often I see her watching them... but she has never attacked one. I guess they are just so docile that she lets them be. She has brought 2 baby bunnies to the house before though. Still alive. Which both times I couldn't find the nest of. So, despite my best efforts at feeding them, they both died. Each time they were both very newly born.

He looks content too. My dog would probably do the same. She has a warm garage, but still elects to spend 95 percent of her time out in the cold. I think she is afraid she'll miss something if she is in the garage.
