In honor of groundhog day. Luke was not too happy about Phil's prediction of 6 more weeks of winter. Sorry little Phil.

Just found out that the lab my family has had for quite a few years. ( we saved him from the previous owners), is gonna be put to sleep (if he hasn't been already, I just got a text saying the vet said that was probably the best option). He is at minimum 12 years old, but I would guess around 15-17. When we found him (actually he showed up at our house) he was skin and bones, had heart worms, eye and ear infections. We fed him brought him to the vet, etc... Then the "owner" called us (took the collar we put on him off) we told him to come pick up his meds. He never did. Well Paws (the dog, named by my sister lol) showed up a couple weeks later, had lost a lot of weight etc... So we went to feeding him again. Then we moved from Louisiana to Tennessee and just took him with us. He has been around us since I was in 4th grade (I think), he was full grown when he showed up. He was a sweet guy, I'll miss seeing him when I go home. I was home last weekend and found out he was going to the vet today to see about a sore that had developed on his leg and his arthritis.

    Sorry to hear that Patrick.

There is some comfort knowing your family gave him a better life than he might have otherwise had.

the usual story told was that we stole him lol, or at least that is what I would pop up and say if someone asked and I was near enough to answer lol, I had alot of fun with people telling them that. He was nothing but a big lovable puppy lol, always wanted attention and was friendly to any person that he was around. I am just glad I got to go home from school last weekend.
