Basil is the same way. I bought a box of 55 used tennis balls off ebay, he knows where the box is and will just stare at it.

Watching the in-laws GSD for a few months while my mother in law recovers from some surgery. They both love the snow. This is after a good round of wrestling this morning.

Its hilarious seeing some peoples horrified faces when they are wrestling. Granted, they make a lot of noise, and are both big dogs (95 and 110lbs)and they beat the crap out of each other, but they are also best friends and cuddle up with each other when they're tired.

Here's how they play. This is when they were puppies and they are still playing the same way 4 years later

Husky yoga, he sleeps like this.
I may have a chance to get a gsd, black and tan, European bloodline, she is almost 2. My nephew is going to out of state school and his parents dont want to take care of the dog. No pics of the gsd but here is my husky doing yoga lol

I lost Sydney, our Aussie after 8 years to cancer. I was there by her side stroking her head as you took her last breath just after she placed her paw on my arm. I wept for some time after the loss of my best friend and her endless love. That was two years ago and I have found it hard to get another until a month ago, my daughter brought home a stray. Full blooded black lab, who was out in a storm. After a two week media blitz to try and find her owner, we have made Bailey a permanent member of the family. My wife swears she is Sydney reincarnated. She has immediately taken her spot as my co-pilot on every little trip we take. How did I ever make it without a companion.

Moral of this story is that my heart aches for your loss but there will come the time, when you are ready for another bud, and when that day comes, your empty spot in your heart will be mostly filled. Rocco will always be there, but there is another dog yearning to share their life with you.

Take care, and I hope the good times with Rocco fill your thoughts.
