That's a sweet pic Marc! Looks like a mean huntin dog! Did you take that picture? Looks like you always had a thing for photography.

Well, I am back in the college town with Ash now. He is LOVING it. So many people, things and noises for him to experience. He is getting rather protective but seems to calm down once he is within a few feet and can see its not a threat. During a week long fishing trip it was pretty cool having him around. If anyone came within 50 ft of the tent or whatever spot I was fishing he would start growling and or barking.

I gotta say that teaching him to walk with the check cord has been the best thing I have done. I have been taking him on 3 walks a day for now. He responds to "here" and "stop" most the time. He loves having the 30ft to roam a park or the campus at night. I have been trying my best to swerve into dogs that seem friendly. I am looking to enroll him in a puppy class as well to get him socialized a bit better and get a few more tricks up his sleeve.

I have one issue so far since coming back. My roommates Belgian Malinois has turned super bitch dog. We introduced them today again and she just wants to dominate and rip into Ash. Not sure what went down with her over the last few months but we had to put a muzzle on her. I am going to research what I can to help train her out of this stage and I believe he is seeking help through a class as well. Worse case is Ash and the french bulldog will hang together and we will just have to keep them separated. As big as a couch potato as Ash is I don't think hes gonna complain if I leave him to lounge on my bed while I go to class :D.

Nope can't take credit for that one. She was a great hunter. She pointed them out and our lab flushed them, so fun!

Good luck with Ash down there, I hope you guys settle into a routine and the social part goes well!

    Cute pup.

That's wierd. Most dogs let puppies do stuff they wouldn't let an older dog do... Good luck working it out, so they can all get along.

This is Luna. I found her as a pup living in a cave at the base of a sacred indian mountain in northern New Mexico. Now she's my skiff bitch.

This dog is just overly aggressive. She got in one dog fight so far and also bit the owner of that dog. Guess it ripped the owners bicep open. I am not sure what the hell happened. She was fine with me before I left for the summer and now she wants to rip my face off.

 Her owner needs to get her professional help. Has she been to the vet for a check up lately? that should be his/her (owners) first step, then on to a professional trainer. Sounds like a lawsuit in the making otherwise.

Yep, he got her to the vet and they put her on some meds to chill her out a week ago. I'm not sure what his plan of action is currently. Certainly not a good behavior for a city dog in a college town. I found some classes that are here to help aggression and passed the info on to him.
