Ash currently gets the Blue Buffalo puppy blend. I almost switched him off of it because he had the runs constantly and would not stop farting. My room smelt like dog fart 24/7. Probably still does.

The issue wasn't quite just the food. I was actually over feeding him about 4 cups per day. All the dogs I have owned in the past and my roommates dogs eat till they are full. Ash, well, he won't stop eating. I could give him the bag and he would eat till his belly popped haha. Basically all the food he couldn't process just ran through his body as fast as possible. Yuck.

Still trying to firm up his poop but the farts are just a few here and there. One thing I have noticed is that both my roommates dog and Ashes farts have become audible after switching to blue buffalo.

He is always looking forward to me getting him some food in the morning and again at night. I hate going all day without eating so I just assume he would too.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
This. Our dog was on 1 cup, 3 times a day, from a puppy on. And he rarely wasn't excited to eat.

Spreading their food out does help, especially for the larger breed dogs. Helps reduce the chance of gastric torsion. Two meals a day is what I feed. 2C each meal-but what ever works for you isn't a bad thing. Plus, consistent feeding makes for consistent poops:cool:

Got home and found him panicked. This is the top of the cats litter box. Almost had to cut it off. 103724a3b1516994cc647e5e7ecdbb0e_65a5db3f98f16b4b54e971ca16db0321347013bd.jpg

Dogs and cat litter are not a good combination. That shit forms rocks in their digestive tracts which will require surgery :( Saw a lady at the vet one day with a dog recovering from that (x-ray was a couple of 2-3 inch bright white blockages...ew.
