Aren't allowed on trails there, but IIRC the parking lot and road were available to leashed dogs, but it's been a few years. TONS of ticks there.

    Great pic, John.

Good news. I found a family in Boise that has male yellow that is looking for a companion. We're taking her up to meet them next weekend, hopefully it works out.

Most state parks allow dogs on roads and campgrounds. Rarely on the trails. We used to go down to the ponds off of Monterey in South, South San Jose-maybe it's Morgan Hill/Gilroy. He loves the water.

TJ, glad to hear the news! Frank...what happens when Mel grabs the game controller and eats it? LOL

That's weird. As long as our dogs are on a 6 ft lead, they can go on any trail in all the state parks here in NC. I know all states are different but that's odd.

We normally call it Commifornia but I'm sure you've heard it before and probably didn't want to this time.:D:D

Went to San Diego last year. First time out there. Kind of cool but tons and tons of people.

It's pretty sad really. "The People" really try hard to tell you what you like.

Hasn't always been like this but I guess that's what you get with hippies and Gov Moonbeam in charge...magnified by all the other granola people who came from elsewhere.:D

Unfortunately, the whole country is shifting slowly but surely in that direction. Well, maybe not so slowly. Maybe it'll turn itself around....

I'd have a hard time living in a place that won't let you walk your dog on a state park that your taxes paid for.

Yeah tell me about it. Beach camping in Santa Barbara and you can't take your dog on the sand of the beach because all the camping beaches are state parks...love my state but shits been gettin' outta hand...in other words, just take your dog to the state beach during sunrise, ain't nobody awake then
