Shiba inu. Very similar but a tad bit smaller. Looks like a shikoku due to the sesame color though. True sesame colored shibas are said to be the rarest color for a shiba, much more common on the shiko, you're not the first to think he was a shikoku!!

He is 2.5 years old and 26lbs. Pain in the ass but i love him LOL

Great looking dog! I'm a fan of Japanese breeds. I currently have an Akita/Belgian Malanois mix, she's 13.5 years but still acts like she's 4.

Jax loves water retrieves and cold mountain lakes in the summer :) I have to say I enjoy the evening trips myself after work.

Labs will cold water retrieve until your arms fall off. When I lived in Columbia, SC you can put your dogs in the
river that is fed by a deep water dam so water temp is nice and cold. So when its 100 degrees the river felt great.
Jax is a good looking dog.

    Why yes, they will.

I've read that they can also ingest enough water to make them sick if they stay at it too long-Riley will go until he drops...which is kinda scary.

Haha true story. I try to end it when he doesn't sprint out of the water to my side. It's over when he gets lazy. Thanks, we lucked out and got a great dog, but most all labs are great :p

I believe it and can tell when he's sucking it down especially if there's any waves. The big soft mouth bumper doesn't help since it keeps his mouth open further.

I haven't had a chance to get my 8 month old lab out in the water a ton yet but she will play ball in the yard until she collapses and would go longer if she could. By the time she wears slick the look on her face always reminds me of this futurama scene lol

My Coach Dog Tinky. He was a stray I found when about 4 mo. old. He had been on his own for a while and who knows what he had been eating. First night in the bedroom after a bowl of real dog food created emissions that would have stunned a mule. Put the "S" back in front of his name and you'll get the idea. He's almost 17 now and won't be with me too much longer.

You bring them up in the tent at night or the stay elsewhere? My hound was a rescue and we all figured he would end up around 50-60 lbs but he is about 95 and lean. Trying to figure something out where I can get him up in the tent easily.
