Haha! Lots of food is needed when your a dog over a hundred pounds and energetic!

Use to have a Bullmastiff years ago, he would eat all day long if you let him... And never move!!

That dog was so lazy. Only games he played was fetch or tug. I think his high score on fetch was going after the ball 4 times before dropping, fetch normally lasted 5seconds... He tugged and got it or he just quit and layed down.

Loved that dog but wanted something more energetic this time... Something that will like going fishing creeks and hiking into the woods with me... Hopefully LOL

Our Shepherd... Back story, she was a police dog drop out, highly trained. Her favorite game was 'take down' - she'd grab me by the wrist, spin me down, lick my face and run around like crazy. My worse nightmare dog as I had been picked up by my ankle as a child by a shepherd. The kitten, I found her in the bushes at work the afternoon of this picture, had just been washed in the kitchen sink, Robi set her down to clean the sink. Oops! Where's the cat? She walked over and curled up in the dogs tail, they were inseparable. Dog chase the cat down the hall, cat chased the dog back to the front room. Over and over.

Yeppers, she is our 3rd boxer, my 4th. Decided to have a different one after my fawn, our brindle-fawn and flashy brindle. Her last boxer died the day before Thanksgiving, this one was born the next day, she picked her out at one day old from a litter of 14. The absolute hardest headed one ever. Minds great if she wants to, but totally dedicated to her as her service dog.

Most of the time they'll lay nicely together, other times not so much.

My girl puppy has a kitty too. They're always together. Craig, the kitty, was even in the whelping box when Lola gave birth. He was the midwife.

Awesome, got to find a picture of Robi's bird living on the cat pole with the cat. Got great video somewhere but the place is a total mess right now.

Picking up a pup this evening for my parents. My cousin's boxer bred his beagle/jack russel mix...the puppies were somehow adorable. They were going to keep one, but need to get rid of it now. It's several months old. Mom and dad said they'd take it. Pics to follow, I'm sure.

Ours was very hard headed. He loved his people, but did NOT like strangers. We tried to work with him, but to no avail. I'd never trade him or that experience for anything. Made us better capable as furry parents. Still miss his boxer face!!

That time of year where the dog earns his keep. Or so I tell him... Judging by all the screaming and shaking going on he is into it even more than I am as I get older.

We're taking a lot of time socializing Mai at this stage in her life. Here she is hanging out with her buddies Thor and Bella yesterday. She has a great temperment!

I'm stuck between the names Legend, Battle (like battle buddy, army jargon) and Wimp... Which of these do y'all think?

I like Battle out of those. Wimp would be cool if you expect him to be massive and wearing a really aggressive collar, lol.
