My 2 run hard all day in the cold with no problems. The cold only becomes an issue if they get wet.
I've danced around getting a vest a few times but have yet to follow through because everyone I know that uses one , the dog get rubbed raw in the leg pits.
    Yes, I use Mushers Secret.

He turned 10 weeks yesterday. If he isn't doing this he is being a wild child!

    Brand new so nothing yet.
I figured I'd give an update. I posted on here about a month ago about a Border Collie/ Greyhound we found for the second time. After the weekend went by we dropped her off at the shelter. With numerous calls to the person that picked her up the first time from both me and the shelter, she sat there for a week and was never picked up. We are now fostering to adopt her. She has been a great addition to our house and is a very nice dog. She has a few minor quarks but with some work I think she will get on the right track.

Im pretty sure we are going to be the ones adopting her. We have already grown attached to her and she is a perfect fit so far. I don't think I could ever foster and then lose them. That has to be hard to see them go.

My wife has gotten emotional/cried everytime we've found a new home for ones we've fostered. The only time I got to the point was when we fostered a golden retriever mix and had to take her back to the rescue place we fostered with. She figured out how to break out of her kennel - she would pry the edges and basically cause them to buckle. I even tried zip tying it together and she would chew off the zip ties and repeat her escape and then caused damage inside the house. I hated doing it as she was perfect with our other dogs and would even let our maltese bark/nip at her and would just smile back at her. She never barked. She walked great on a leash and was perfectly behaved as long as we were there with her. She even did well in our back yard but per the foster instructions we were told not to leave her unattended in the back yard as she was a "jumper" so we didn't want to risk leaving her outside for her to escape and get ran over.

That must have been very hard, did you ever find out if the dog was adopted or not?

Yeah it took a while but she was adopted out about two months later. She would have been the perfect dog for a stay at home person or someone elderly. She just couldn't be left alone, I think she got separation anxiety or something.

I've heard of a lot of Goldens with severe separation anxiety. I know two of my uncles dogs took forever to break of it. They always ripped something apart while they were left alone. I'm glad she was adopted though.

    Some really cool shit
My Chessie, Bear, has been having a tough month due to an infection, and low thyroid numbers. Meds are helping. Had him out for a walk and wanted to get a picture of him in a happy mood. Our GSP photo bombed my efforts.
