    I'd recommend starting with a local vet so that you have a familiar source of help in case of emergency. We have a vet in Texas that knows our dog as well as our regular vet here since we spend so much time there.

    I've gotten a few local recommendations from coworkers, one name came up more than once, so I'll likely choose that one. I will see about getting her an appt in a few weeks. :)

    That door looks like glass? My bloodhound has taken out my screen 3 times so far. I've decided to use the cheaper window screen instead of the harder metal. She'll easily go through both so figure I'd rather her go through the vinyl instead of the metal kind.

    That is glass, pretty soon we will swap the glass panel out for a screen panel. She doesn't attack either one but has been found licking them from time to time. I blame my wife's side of the family for that. ;-)

    Love the sheltie, my grandmother had a couple when I was growing up.


    Me and my wife are trying to get simon (brick chapel's mischief managed) certified for both of those as well. We have him enrolled in obedience/CGC classes at the moment.

    He is very socialized and well behaved when it comes to people and he loves kids.

    He just turned a year old and is 100lbs of fluff.
