Ruby is adorable!!! Thanks for posting more. I really like those hounds.

 

Mine today at the local State Park... he had a blast hiking the trails! His demeanor is just so chill, does not give a crap about other dogs or people. He just wants to keep going!

He was all about climbing up on anything he could.

Ended up using his pack to carry out some trash the we kept finding on the trails... couple plastic water bottles and wrappers.

 

Drake got to play with all the sticks he could find. Sizes ranging for barely sticks out of his mouth to almost twice as long as he is.


Also made an extended leash out of two ratchet straps.

 

Have a shell on truck, whats the best way to get dogs accustomed to ride back there? They want nothing to do with it

 

You can use a dog bed that sleep on regularly, so that it feels more like home.

 

yeah, was gonna say, throw their favorite dog bed on board.

my dog is very used to riding in the back of station wagons (my last car was a 1992 volvo 740 turbo wagon, my wife's car is a 1994 mercedes e320 wagon, both have dog barriers to keep the dog from jumping into the back seat), and the truck is just a big wagon. now, my dog is 10 and has a bad hock on one rear leg, so she can't quite jump into the truck, I need guide her up a ramp.... but frankly, we usually transport her in wife's wagon

 

Throw their bed and a toy in there and put them in there for a little bit while parked at home.

It was about 8 years back but I remember a guy pulling up one day to get a 100# propane tank refilled with one of those, and he had 3 irish wolf hounds in there too. I still cannot fathom how they all fit in there or how he could see while driving.
