Laying with my girl. The chronic pancreatitis has caught up to her finally enough to think she's at her end. So painful to watch. She can be walking around and feeling normal and then an hour after eating sometimes she's just a zombie. Tried everything to give her a good end of her life so she's been spoiled rotten. 16 years I can't believe went that fast

Regret hearing that about your furry family member. One thing I've found with senior dogs is that they hold on as long as possible because they love you. I've sadly had to make the fateful decision a couple times and in each situation it really seemed that they were more focused on pleasing me than anything else. Best friends till the very end.

When she's gone my hopes are that the fond memories of your loved lost will always bring a smile to your face.

Thanks guys, you always think you will know when the time comes but its a hard thing to figure out. I would never want to keep her around longer than she should. I'll be thinking hard the next few days about it but I know what I have the eventually do. Such a sad thing too because as I type this she is hovering around me like a savage because she smells her food being cooked and has not eaten since the morning so she seems fine.

Each situation is different. I have had to make the decision too many times. Trust yourself to make the right decision, and you ultimately will. My sincere condolences.

I've posted in the past but 5yrs later he's still a goofy very playful lapdog. And will sleep in almost any position.

I've watched too many people and animals alike suffer at the end.

I'm confident that you'll make the right decision.
