My first Lab was returned to the breeder because he was truly a handful. Older couple just could not walk him or play with him as he needed. As a result, he did stuff bored dogs do-jump on the windows, counter surf, general destructive behavior. All dogs need attention and training and socialization. He was a handful but training and purpose calmed him down.

Boomer is a Labahoula. When the wife and I were researching the breed, after we adopted him of course, one of the funniest comments we found said something along the line of: Be sure you keep you puppy entertained and have a lot of stuff for him to chew or he will "EAT YOUR HOUSE".

We looked at each other and both said "Fuuuuuuuuu....." but we had almost no trouble with his chewing. Digging was a issue for a while when he was under 1 year old, but with training he outgrew that.

He is awesome. We play ball every outside morning and every evening, weather allowing. The only time he needs to be leashed is when we are in a very public setting, like the pet store, vet, or walking a strange neighborhood.

He still needs work learning to relax, as you can see he is incrediblely stressed and on edge at all times.20170829_045429.jpg

Believe it or not, when he was a pup he was a white with black markings. o_O

    Yes training.

My dog is great. He got a little crazy at 7months old but out grew it fast.
He wont jump on people, pull on the leashe, takeoff running after a cat or chickens none of that. Hes verry good and well tempered.
He's not fixed and I dont plan on fixing him.

    Some really cool shit

According to my Vet, dogs will shed all year if they sleep indoors, mostly. If you have outdoor dogs they shed less. But, since they're outdoors, who cares if they shed a little, or a lot. My dogs are outside if we're not home, But are indoors when we are, and sleep indoors. So, they shed. The Chesapeake Bay, especially.

That's Chihuahuas in general. Both of my dogs are about 25% Chihuahua (wife HAD to have then DNA tested) and they're as protective yappy as can be.

Thank you! He's slowing down and sleeps a lot now. But he still has a huge personality. Going to devastated when he's gone.

This is so true. There's a Dachshund our neighbors have that gets out ALL the time and he comes to my fence and yaps at my dogs, me, leaves, tree limbs...basically whatever moves. Last night he was running down the road with half a sandwich in his mouth and stopped to bark at me as I drove by. He's a strange little dog.

A couple pics of the pup playing with his toy yesterday. He's about 6 months old now and just over 40 lbs. Been a great 3 months since I rescued him!
