Vet told me that mine is a Boston Terrier mixed with a Pug. We saw a Pitbull for Dummies book at the petstore and the photo on the front page looked just like our mutt. I really think he has Staffordshire Terrier in him, but I have no idea what he's mixed with seeing as how he's maxed out at 18lbs.

AlexanderD --if you aren't aware of this fact it should help with the boss at work....a study was done (can't cite it right now) about people bringing their dogs to work and found the incidence of violence and stress were greatly reduced. As a safety matter bringing your dog to work is a plus....hence the therapy dogs and what they bring to the work place is a ++ for everyone....

I had a Huskey named Shiloh as well. We got him from a guy who had run over our minature daschund Sadie :( Had to get rid of him, too much since my sister was only about 6-7 years old at the time.

PATIENCE!!! Huskies tend to be very stubborn until they mature, and even so after that. They also need LOTS of exercise, whether its going on long runs with them, or chasing them around the back yard for a while. Also, they're working dogs, so give them a job. Mine has been carrying a backpack full of bottled waters on our hikes, and now we've got him pulling a small wagon. If you're interested, I got a pulling harness from http://www.alpineoutfitters.net/Secure/Scripts/default.asp. The guy there told me that he usually starts training his Huskies to pull sleds in a team at around 5-6 months old. I didn't start mine until about 1 year old, but my Husky has no problem pulling the wagon and I don't have a team of them.

Have fun with yours, and please send pics :D
