    2008 White Double Cab TRD
    New guy here. I got a great deal on my 2008 Tacoma. Some rust on the frame, but after scraping and banging it appears to be mainly surface. (There goes my hope for a new frame!)

    A little disconcerting to me is how rusty many of the brackets in the engine bay are. My plan is to remove them one or two at a time, sand blast and paint/powder coat the ones that aren't too far gone. (I've restored cars in the past, and I'm familiar with what 20, 30, even 50 years of normal rust looks like. This is a little worse than I would expect.)

    I thought seeing how other's detailed their engine bays, or didn't, would help me judge where my vehicle falls on the spectrum.

    It's pouring down rain now, so I'll try and post a picture tomorrow.

    Here’s mine after a good detailing. This is on an 05 that was deemed rusty enough to get a new frame. The engine bay isn’t too bad though.
