Riv nuts under each tab on the ring. Worked perfect.

Interior all back together, ready for testing. Sound proofing will come once I am happy with how it performs.

Just finishing up wiring the 4hi and 4lo dash lights, and locker anytime mod now.

After you and @tacoma16 finished it up, I could not wait to get it in place. I tried to listen and learn from everything you guys did :fistbump:

We took a stupid long time getting it done, but I really like how it turned out. Feels and looks great.

Never would have thought me and friend could get something like this done ourselves, with just the help of a forum.

    TW is an unbelievable place.

    Thanks everyone in this thread!

    That is...

Not what I though you were doing with that but I suppose it works.

    Hmm... Something to think about.

I just wonder about it's resistance to the sulfurs in gear oil.

You'll have to update us in a few months with how it's holding up.

Sealing the hole in the floor was one of my big concerns. From what we looked up, the 100% silicone dish we got should be resistant to all oil in the truck, as well as almost any heat range.

You are right though, time will tell

I really thought it was going to stay popped up and have the sticks only come through and was wondering how that was going to work when one stick was forward and one backwards when installed but I like your idea, a little simpler, and if everything engages properly which looks like it does then good to go!

I had the same idea you did tbh. :notsure:

My buddy is running the show, I am shop assistant. :woot:

We are going to take a piece of the bowl we trimmed off, and put it in some gear oil to see what happens over some time. Would like to know before its a problem. Thanks for bringing that up. :hattip:

    A test sample, that's brilliant!

And even if it doesn't work with the bowl you could get a sheet of EDPM and do the same thing. I know that's one of the few "rubbers" rated for brake fluid so... :notsure:

Just drove the truck home, its all working!

rear diff lock anytime mod working, 4hi and 4lo dash lights all working.

Here is my new 4WD ECU

We replaced the stock 4WD ECU. This one seems more awesomer, as I can engage diff lock any time now.

    Best upgrade evarrrrgggghhhh

I had only engaged it just for a few meters outside the shop, to ensure it was all working.

Today I went and tried it out. Feels so good to move a stick and 4hi engages instantly. Then same for back to 2wd. So smooth. :bananadance:

    :cookiemonster:

I dont think I could be happier. 100% best upgrade I could do to the truck for the next 5 or so years.

Small things to clean it up and get it perfect are all coming in line now.

Replacing the breather that came on the twin stick. This adapter will allow me to plug in the stock breather tube, that goes up under the hood.

    Confirmed.

The plug arrived (Toyota PN 90980-10923). It is the correct one for the FJ t-case neutral sensor.

Just waiting for 2x plug wires to arrive (Toyota PN 82998-12440) then we can go forward with using the neutral sensor.
