I had the non-ADD tube swapped in on mine. No change in mpg's on the highway. I have one on the way for my current taco as well.

You do you. I have failed at getting out and camping, it hurts me. I have had a couple of weekends where I had nothing going on and it took two weekends and a the second calling in sick on a Monday to finally enjoy some relaxation. Get it while you can and enjoy all of it. Im just razing you. :D

The only difference between and ADD and non ADD taco is the ring gear and front driveshaft. That’s not terribly much weight in the grand scheme of front end components. The difference if we had manual hubs might be noticeable but with live axles and spinning spider gears the delta between an ADD and non ADD setup is negligible IMO

I would agree as well. Only thing I would say and it was mainly for my own peace of mind is that I changed my gear oil to the front diff slightly more frequently. I never found that it was getting thinner more frequently due to the increased use though.

An particularly reason why soldering vs the typical spade connectors?

    Lack of connectors.

    Abundance of soldering supplies.

    :cookiemonster:

If any problems show up, it will get re-done with the connectors.

    That makes sense lol.

Was wondering if it was for a reliability concern but I can argue for either method.

For reliability, my preference is to solder. I have had crimp connections pull apart many times because of a bad crimp. I have never had a solder connection connection come apart. If I need to do a spade, ring, or prong connector, I usually crimp, solder, and heat shrink them.

So I went a little crazy trying to figure out how to fix my shifting problem.

Being that when in 4lo I can not shift into Park on the transmission shifter. Twin stick issue.

The large Toyota stock shifter knob thing is to big.

    Bought these.

The rod in the junior length, as I just need it up a bit from stock.

Then the knob to go on top, round and black just like the twin sticks. Should look pretty sick and fix my problem.:cookiemonster:

Also the adapter to get them to fit the stock tiny shift rod. M8x1.25mm

Modelled on the Dalai Lama’s left testicle,

Hey Dalai, Dalai, hold still just a little longer, No we're not doing the right side too we just need the left, I know the right is bigger but its for the automatic shifters, we can use the left for the manuals.. No worries Dalai, just remember everytime someone shifts you'll feel it... :D
