Ordered the ADD delete parts online, so I’ll be waiting for those to come in.

For those who kept the FJ J shifter with an automatic (no twin stick) Did you need to modify the FJ stick to fit thru the pen holder location? I was looking for photo reference but didn’t find any...

There’s a billion pics in this thread about shifter placement with an auto if you skim through here.

If I wanted to permanently engage mine, I would need to engage my ADD switch, and disconnect the power, right? Is there any way the sleeve could disengage itself? Like hitting a curb at the mall or something?

You wouldn't have to remove the power if you didn't want to, in fact I'd like that connector plugged in to prevent corrosion on the pins. No, there is no way for it to disengage, it's a worm gear connected to a small electric motor. Normally, there is no power going to it anyway until there is a command for a shift fork change from 2-4wd or 4-2wd

    This is my truck!

I stumbled across this thread tonight and was quite surprised that my Krazy Kurley twin sticks showed up on the first page.

This is absolutely the best mod I ever did for the Taco. I hated the electric POS Toyota gave me, and even after building a relay box to control it (instead of the computer) it still would get stuck and I'd have to crawl under the truck to operate it by hand to get it into four wheel drive.

Too bad about Wyatt and Rock Solid Toys, but I'm glad he publicized the fact it is so easy to swap a good manual transfer case into the Taco. Saved me from endless frustration.

Now if I could just find a better rubber boot for the twin sticks so it doesn't have to be changed out every couple of years it would be perfect!

$12 at the pet store. Silicone so oil and heat dont bother it.

    *edit*
Ahh its probably the black boot that comes with the twin sticks that starts to crack? I never thought about that. :argue:

Does anybody have a part number for this spring? I bought a used transfercase shifter that was missing the spring.

Yup - the twin stick boot is made out of pretty thin rubber and you will know when it starts to tear because you start to smell gear oil in the cab. Mine last about three years and I always search for a better replacement and then end up calling FROR for a 'nother couple of sets.

Is the green wire (Neutral position) on the FJ Tcase wired up to anything for an auto? I swiped over the other two plugs from my tcase over to the FJ case.

If you wanted to take advantage of the neutral sensor, you'd need to add your own indicator somewhere on your dash, like a little LED or something. Most just leave it unhooked.

I’m taping into this wire loom to look for the solid red and brown/white wires correct?

Or am I tapping the two plugs from the 4x4 ECU together? I have a 2012 and the second plug doesn’t have a red wire

Having the dash lights work is so amazing. The guys at the tire shop could not believe what I had done, how clean of an install it was.

    :bananadance:

All thanks to everyone answering questions right here

yeh most definitely! everyone's been super responsive too so I'm not just twirling my thumbs waiting for some professional tw life line support. There's a lot of good info in the 117 pages, just hard to track down exactly what I need sometimes.... lol
