Finally all done. I’ve had 5 different iterations for the shifter relocation. Ended up with a S bend near the top to clear my hand shifting thru to D as it sat too close originally. Reverse gave me the most issues. Also it sits as far back as possible in 2hi to help with the clearance, it drops about 2” into 4hi. The throw takes up the entire width of the pencil holder. With the S bend, that centers the shifter. The actual 1/2” rod is pretty much against the driver side in 2hi and against the passenger side in 4low.

I keep going back and forth. I like my pen slot/cellphone holder. On my last tacoma I had twin sticks and had them routed all fancy. I kinda just wanna make it work where it's at this time but that's probably not going to work out.

Twin sticks is the way to go, 2lo is sweet AF on the trails :bananadance:

Being able to switch on the fly between 2lo and 4lo with out stopping is pretty awesome :transformer:

from what I’ve seen leaving it in stock location is the worst of both worlds, losing half your pen slot and cup holder

Agreed just take the time to weld something up. I lost one of my bolts for the shifter but it’s still plenty stable. Took me bout an hour to make this POS

For some of us (not me yet) that lost 1 or more wheel sensors and the speedo is inop my buddy used this gps speed sensor on his 06 Sport Tacoma. He had check engine light and no speedometer, shifting was erratic. He didn't do the transfer case drive gear mod like I have. Once he wired the gps speedo to the factory speedo everything worked again: shifting, speedo and no check engine light.

That's neat. I wonder how well it does when the satellite signal is weak or blocked and how that affects the behavior of the truck.

This is actually a good idea. I had a gps speedometer before but not wired straight In like this one. What exactly did he wire it into?

I'll have to ask him again and maybe Kramer (avatar photo) knows but I believe it's direct to the speedo head wires.

Looking at the instructions, all it needs is power and ground as input, and has three output options based off of how many pulses per minute you need. There’s one wire that feeds into the instrument cluster for the speed, so I would assume you just pick whatever PPM you need and feed it right into that wire. Idk how you would determine the PPM though.
