I have no lights and have an unplugged 4wd ecu, so I believe if you unplug it you’ll get rid of those.

Use a bearing puller to remove. Use a shop press to reinstall.

Dunno if it counts as progress but I got it off the floor and on the bench.

might end up having to do this - did some research and Toyota doesn’t sell the sleeve separate from what I’ve found looking in the catalog and only sold with the tcase input..

Getting that off/on doable with leaving both cases together and not having to tear apart? I have a shop press and pullers at hand.

other option is pick up another $200 case that isn’t missing the sleeve, split it for twin sticks and have a spare:thumbsup:

should be, getting the tcase lined up on the press might be tough and assuming the case fits between the press bed.

Bearing puller to remove and tap it back on with a hammer and block of wood. I have an extra one if you need one.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
I installed the transmission(I went from A750E to A750F) first and the man handled the transfer case in place, and forget tight a couple of bolts(super sketchy and probably I had tons of luck)
    Cheers!

I'm waiting to hear back from the junkyard which I bought the case from. They have another case with 87k on it but need to check to see if the sleeve is on it. They might possibly give me another if it has the sleeve on it but if they don't I'd be interested in that if you'd be willing to ship it. I'll get back on it though thanks bud.

I ended up using a tranny jack and just dropped the xmember, made it real easy. Initially I had planned doing this all on my back in my own garage but ended up getting to use a lift at my work which helped greatly.

I just did this swap and tried my hand at making a youtube video about it. I hope it helps some folks. I am an automatic and I did single stick in the pen holder, and ADD delete. I'm also not a mechanic, and felt this was a very manageable swap for a DIYer with some patience.

I also just wanted to say, this thread was awesome and had all of the info needed for me to do the swap. Thanks to all who contributed.

Might be a stupid question, but I am starting my TC swap tonight, for the ADD delete could I engage the front diff then disconnect the 4wd ECU to effectively delete the ADD and just leave it engaged permanently? Then pull the taco case out and install the fj case and not think about it until I can get my hands on a fj tube?

That is exactly what I did. Works just fine, really no need to get an FJ tube unless you really want to.
