you might be able to do it with it installed. if you can lower the drive train a little it should be able to be gotten to. think its a 6mm allen bolt that comes out. all you gotta do is be able to remove that then shove the bearing in followed by the spring and close it up. shouldnt have to drop the whole thing

Good to hear. I couldn't remember how I removed it. Again, a long and drawn out project lol. I'll swap the factory spring in first to see if that fixes it.

I feel like we need a punk out/call out thread. Instead of street beefs, we can call it taco beefs.

A place for all of the smack talk. Maybe a mod could start and moderate the queefs.

I threw the spring and bearing in for the 2wd/4wd shift rail. Was there one for the hi/lo rail or was that the "pill" I removed? I've got another spring, so I can always source another ball bearing if needed for the hi/lo side.

That's what I thought. It probably went off to hide with all of my 10 mm sockets.

So here is mine. Lever bounces a lot over big bumps. Hasn’t popped out of gear but wonder if it will. Any suggestions for how to improve this? Should I cut off the OE FJ vibration damper and just cut threads on the rod closer to the center console opening? Or add some weight to the bent rod closer to the transfer case? I like the position but worry it may pop out of gear or cause some kind of wear bouncing around..

first pic was a test fit, ended up cutting it down a bit as the ‘u’ towards the front was too far forward and would pop out my cup holder lol..
