Nope, I didn’t do the wiring and I would guess it’s different on a 3rd gen than a 2011 anyways.

Getting ready to tackle wiring a switch for the ADD and was set on having the switch under the radio and climate control but it requires a "mini" style switch and those seem hard to come by in a DPDT configuration. Luckily I stumbled upon this Australian custom switch company that makes a DPDT in a mini switch with custom text offerings. Im OCD and like a very OEM look in the cockpit.

Question on the Front Range Twins; can you separate the sticks from the base?? Can the breather also be taken apart to add a hose or something to extend elsewhere?? Things are moving quicker than expected and I'm just trying to prepare... Thanks FJ swap fam, and all others..

    Yes to both questions.

Some stainless hardware and a main pin that you can punch out holds everything together so it can be easily separated to modify the sticks.

The breather that comes with it is 1/8NPT thread so I just bought a 1/8" brass hose barb with 1/8NPT and connected a longer breather routed to my engine bay.

Question; I've got the 4wd light on with 4lo blinking (2013 FJ case swap), is this because I failed to do the ADD delete or wire up???
My harness from 12thstate should he in tomorrow?? Please tell me this wold fix his issue.
Note: I did already wire the case plugs to their respected wires. Thanks for any help.

If you're waiting on your harness, it doesn't sound like you've done any wiring to your 4x4 ECU and/or the ADD system, right? If that's the case, the Tacoma 4x4 ECU is coding due to the lack of a transfer case solenoid and the harness should fix the issue.

Correct. Nothing to the ECU, only the 4wd plugs on the case. I wasn't sure if the harness would use the same wires from the ECU??
So even without the harness, I've still gotta get the 4 wires from the ECU connected and follow; of course with the harness??
Thanks for all your help, bro. Where this would normally a wrencher, and a helper, man it's just me, Han "SOLO"!!! Thanks again. It's been my worst mod yet, but the finished product should be well worth it???

What is this harness? Does someone make something to plug in for this?

The 4x4 ECU wiring is easy. Here's a repost of this image if you haven't already seen it.

12thstateoffroad I believe is one of the companies that makes a harness for the ADD.
I think the harness allows you to keep the actuator, and rid the factory electronics, I believe, to work with the FJ case and dash lights.

My thoughts exactly. I've never been shy when it comes to wiring and it's probably less than $50 in switches and wire, so I'd lean towards making my own, but at the same time, $130 seems pretty reasonable. It'd take me at least 2 hours to measure, cut, solder and all that, and while the streets may say differently, I'd like to think I'm worth $40-50 an hour.

Not everybody factors their time in like this so I agree with you. $130 seems reasonable. I think I had 2 hours in just finding the switch I wanted!
