    Gotcha! Thanks guys!

I’ll probably just obtain a shifter and cut the handles off and work from there. I’ve seen on this thread lots of guys mod the shifter to work with the auto tranny, but not as many set ups for the manual trans.

So where’s a good place to look for boots? Is there something available for a twin stick or did you guys custom make something?

I used the oem 6 speed fj cruiser boot. Sealed the tranny tunnel up nicely

Does anyone have the PN and/or source of supply for an input shaft that'll fit a 6sp truck? If I do the swap I'd like to have the transfer case ready to go in when mine comes out.

    A thing or two...
@05Taco4x4 installed an FJ case in his 4cyl, 5sp truck. He used the stock FJ shifter, rubber tunnel seal and shift boot. I don't think he had to do any modification to the stick. There's info in his Prerunner to 4x4 conversion thread. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/prerunner-to-4x4-conversion-guide.534480/

Since I have 3 in a row I got a replacement aftermarket triple boot for a ford bronco. Had to make a custom base plate but it worked well.

I used the FROR twin sticks. With the use of a map gas torch I heated and bent them as needed to come up through just one of my cup holders. My case is also clocked at 15deg, so the sticks point more towards the passenger side.

    EDIT:

I see a few people have liked this post recently. I just want to update it. The rubber roofing sealing the floor did not hold up. I’m going to do a real shift boot on the floor this time around.

That shifter next to the trans is a crawl box I'm guessing? I'd like my shifters to come up in that location.

Read all of thos post, and others. I have the 2013 TSS-auto with 4.0 I have a chance to get the transfer case. If I can source this case, because I have an auto, do I need to get the FJ axle tube?? Or can I just do the ADD?? I really want this case, but not sure what else is involved. How straight of a swap is this. People talking about changing bearings out and what not.. Help me please, in the simplest form, thanks. For real, thanks!!!

An automatic FJ transfer case should be a direct bolt on for your truck. You’ll need to wire in a switch to manually operate your ADD. There is no need to do the FJ axle tube swap if you don’t want to. I’ve done the swap and did a comprehensive write up. It’s here somewhere.
