I think I've seen that somewhere on here before. It's a DIY replacement for the washer fluid reservoir I believe.

I have had door cup protectors for the last 4 years on both my vehicles and have been very happy with how they work and I really like how they look. I have several neighbors that bought after seeing mine. Check out cupeez.com-these are magnetic and available in different colors. I paid $29.95 for 4 and have the carbon fiber.

Kind of a stupid, no-brainer mod but after losing one of my shackles off my receiver hitch recovery mount the last time I went out seriously offroading, I did the zip tie mod:

    f46652e0_bb9b8c24a57c3dbea979a8c8e9d4803c90963df5.jpg

Not my pic but exactly the same thing. Like I said, pretty much a no-brainer but I'm learning shit so weeeeeeeeee!

OK here y'all go. All links are below
So I got aluminum angle iron and bent one end so it is flush for a top, I brazed that side(picture), last I threaded the now top with a 1/4-20 tap. With a washer and a matching threaded knob and bolt from Lowes that parts done. Thats the top to attach the light to.
Next the bottom for it to connect to the rail. I got an aluminum spacer from work that was 1 inch long, drilled it out to 3/8 so the bolt would go though, I used a center punch and drilled a hole through so the spacer would fit through the angle iron, next I brazed both sides of where the spacer goes into the angle iron. This was actually rather hard as you need to heat the second side without liquidfing the first sides braze. I got a 3/8-16 threaded knob and bolt to go though the spacer, this threads into a T-Nut from Zoro.
I did put a washer on both threaded knobs, the top one to go between the knob and the lights base and the bottom one to go between the know and the spacer.
Lastly I spray painted it to closely match my truck, keep in mind that after spray painting you have to retap threads at the top as paint fills them up.

I couldnt find the link for the threaded knobs from Lowes but they are with the hardware in store.

Hers is another. Bulldog Holster with the retaining strap and metal clip removed. Staple some velcro onto the belt support. Tuck the retainer flap for the spare mag into the pouch to use the outside existing velcro to support the front. Fits perfect, out of sight, rock solid, easy to reach.

    Holster cost = $20
    G19 not included
Not recommended if you live behind enemy lines

This isn't really a mod, more of a product recommendation. But this seems like as good aplace as any to post.

I got tired of Toyota's soft paint scratching under my door handles so I bought a set of precut clear protective film protectors. Pain in the ass to install and I really didn't really like the way they looked. On a whim I ordered a set of Cupeez magnetic protectors and just installed them. I like 'em! As per the directions it was necessary to heat them up so they are flexible. Instead of the recommended blow dryer I used a heat gun on the low settimg. Even though its only 19F outside the installation only took a few minutes . My only complaint is that Amazon sent stupid looking carbon fiber design protectors instead of the flat black I ordered. But the wife really likes them so a flat black set is inbound for me and she can have the silly ones on her Toyota.
