Looks good! Wish I had a welder and tools to work metal.[/QUOTE]

I only used a grinder, a protector , a drill , and a welder. I did all my bends by hand (well c clamps and or a vice helped)

I wanted a door for the little cubbies above the wheel wells but didn't want to have hinges and screws or anymore holes in my truck bed. I came up with this using some magnetic strip and some sheet metal.

Added one more piece of magnetic strip to the cubby lid. Fits nice and snug now. Utilized an old CB external speaker to use with my phone when I'm outside the truck and the cubby amplifies the sound pretty good.

Added a few things over the last couple weeks.

Small head light that I took the straps off of and stuck in the center console with double sided tape. Got it for 50 cents at a yard sale. Not pretty but it works good.

    white leds

    red led

Moved this mess to under the center hump.

Since the cord for the GPS was right there I drilled a hole for it.

    No more ugly wires

Also added a cheesy 12v three plug for the kids in the back

Where did you get the small cargo net (in the lower portion, mostly obscured, not your lid net) that fits the hooks for it? I've seen several people have it. Did it come with the truck? It has the specific hooks but my truck didn't have it.

Mine came with the truck. I think you can still buy them. Maybe check Ebay or the dealership.

I made it. Started with this thing. Not even really sure what it went to originally, baby related though.

cut it down and super glued and and put it in a vise and ended up with this.

then just screwed it to the underside of the lid.

Thank you Sir, did you put a sturdy base on the false bottom mod? The felt thats in there is not strong enough to hold it up on top of the bracket.

I took out the whole piece: Felt and the plastic base. Get under it with something sharp and just pry it up. I just have a CB mounting bracket laying in there, does fine. You could fashion some legs or something also.

Custom made my front license plate holder for new location. Used an old holder from my BMW, trimmed it to fit the lower valance.
